“I am Mrs. Viraj Ghate, a professional with 30 +years of corporate experience in India and overseas mainly in Banking and Finance industry. A Law graduate with a Business Management Diploma, I was fortunate to have worked with reputed Indian and Global companies where “People Development’ was at the heart of managerial responsibilities. The different roles and responsibilities that I handled included developing credit policies, change management, operational excellence, risk management and compliance among a few, having worked with large diverse teams across various geographies, what I enjoyed the most I realised very quickly was my People Development role allowing me the ability to connect and communicate with people, understanding them and guiding and mentoring them on their career path.

In my own career journey, I have faced quite a few challenges where I felt confused, unsupported, and stuck trying to waddle through to my desired destination through trial and error, putting in extra effort resulting in failures and delays. However, looking back on those times, I learnt that if I had the help from an expert to hold my hand and guide me to find my way clearly, perhaps my career would have taken a different shape. With this learning, when I decided to transition in my career, it was obvious to me that I needed to seek help from a professional coach – a decision that helped me to gain more clarity, I got to know myself better, was able to see what I needed to see, what was required to be done step by step objectively, analytically but without losing my authenticity and what felt right.
